The Dream

Potters College was formed out of the desire to help shape nursing practice in Ghana. In order to achieve or realize this ambition, there was the need to train nurses who will serve as instrument of change. It is most exciting to see positive behaviors in a person’s lifestyle. This positive change can influence personal attitude at work. When the right environment is created for students to understand the essence of their chosen career through mentorship, there is the great likelihood of transferring to the working environment.

The Goal

Seasoned nurses with great attitudes for care of their clients can “revolutionalize” up-and-coming nurses to develop good habits and attitudes in order to render compassionate care. It is important that student nurses come into contact with those who are already in the field with knowledge, wisdom and the experience to provide mentoring with high standards. This is the sense of duty on the minds of the founders.

Our Joy

When new nurses succeed in implementing the skills and values they have developed in training, they will also affect other colleagues positively at their workplaces. When this vision is communicated by setting exemplary standards by mentors to their mentored students, it will inspire them to develop positive thinking in the care of their patients.

Our Strategy

With this vision, the founders are eager to build a mentoring team that can pass on good cultural values and goals of nursing through guidance. The founders will want to build an institution where their vision can be realized and become fruitful to assist successive generations to embrace this philosophy of positive change in a nurse’s attitude. Nothing is impossible when God is the source of your strength.
