Mentorship

In order to promote high professional practice wherever our trained graduates are found or work, the Institution has identified mentorship as a vital tool to shape attitude through positive role-model behavior in professional practice. Through this mentorship programme, students are nurtured to emulate or reciprocate better attitudes of mentors that will make them unique in delivering exceptional care for their patients to achieve optimum health through practice. Thus the importance of the role of the mentor and the impact from the mentorship is dear to the Institution and must never be taken for granted or under estimated by both the mentor and mentee.

The programme is for non-nurses, and is designed to prepare for a career in professional nursing by gaining sufficient knowledge and clinical expertise to function independently as well as in collaboration with other members of the health care team. By the end of the programme, the graduates are expected to develop skills in critical thinking and ability to provide competent and compassionate care to the sick as well as educating the general populace on their health. The programme is designed for full-time study only.
